About the Summer Theme
We live in a world where anything can be accepted as true and encourages us to define our own truth. Phrases such as “my truth,” “live your truth,” “do what’s true for you,” are used everyday. These phrases force us to ask, and answer, the question, “Is there such a thing as absolute truth?” And if there is, how does that affect our life?
This summer we are going to take a look at the life of Jesus through the book of John to see how Jesus himself defines truth. Our prayer as we study the book of John together is that we would respond with love and affection for Him and have a greater priority for and deeper understanding of the truth, His word.
Theme Verse
Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world— to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” Pilate said to him, “What is truth?”

FAQ
Ponderosa can seem pretty surreal at first—one thousand campers, epic team competitions, cinematic camp themes, balcony-shaking music, and virtually endless activities, all at 5200 feet elevation in the national forest. But once you settle in you’ll realize that Pondy is actually very real—breakout groups with your peers and youth pastor, sunrise worship by the lake, and a thousand simple moments where you notice the Gospel at play in your heart and all around you.
Ponderosa truly is the best of both worlds where you can escape the regular routines of life while rediscovering all the things that a life in Christ provides.
IMPORTANT
Some older mapping services will suggest you take the 245. It is a curvy, winding road that will take you at least an additional hour. DO NOT take 245!
