23 SoCal Winter Camp Theme Recrafted

About the Winter Camp Theme

We live in a world that tries to define what it means to be a Christian. Some people claim that being Christian means you prayed a prayer one time. Others argue that you went from being a bad person to a good person. Ultimately, the Bible tells us exactly what it means to be a Christian, and it involves so much more than just those things. In reality, becoming a Christian means that God has brought us from death to life and He alone is the one that does this. As a result, we are no longer the ones who live, but Christ lives in us. As we study Ephesians 4:17-32, we hope to understand what it means to truly live in light of this transformation. This winter we are going to look at what it means to go from death to life through Christ and how our lives should reflect that life-changing transformation.

Spiritual Direction

We will dive into Ephesians 4 as we look at what it means to live a completely transformed life as a result of knowing Christ.

Visual Direction

We will use a series of short-form videos with the analogy of a Craftsman and four different crafts to show how He transforms, refortifies, and repurposes His creations.

Theme Verse

2 Corinthians 5:17-19

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

Worship Led by

Temitope

TEMITOPE (Teh-ME-toh-PEH) is an artist and educator based out of Nashville, TN. “Temitope” originates from the Yorùbá tribe in Nigeria, and means “mine is thanks.” He was raised in a multicultural home by his Nigerian and British immigrant parents, and as such, understands the importance of reconciliation. His songs communicate God has created each of us to uniquely reflect His heart. By standing together with our differences, instead of standing against each other, we experience more of God.
