Camperships

Change a kid’s life by giving them the gift of camp!

Your generosity gives a kid the chance to meet Jesus at camp and be transformed forever.

What it makes possible

One week can change everything

For a kid, a week at camp can be the moment everything changes. Your gift covers up to half the cost of camp for a child who otherwise couldn’t afford to attend. Giving them the chance to hear the truth of Jesus, experience real community, and discover a hope that lasts a lifetime.

Why it works

Why your gift matters

  1. Kids meet Jesus

At camp, children hear the gospel, many for the first time, and encounter Jesus in a way that leads to lasting transformation.

  2. We reach kids in the most difficult places

Hume intentionally serves underprivileged kids from difficult communities, partnering with local churches and nonprofits who walk alongside these families long after camp ends.

  3. The change ripples outward

A transformed kid brings that change home. Their faith touches families, friendships, and entire communities.

  4. Your impact is eternal

When you sponsor a child, you’re doing more than funding a week away. You’re furthering the kingdom of God and investing in something that lasts forever.

What the week does

In their words

What the kids want to say to donors

  • I wouldn’t even know God. I wouldn’t have a relationship with God if it wasn’t for you. Truly, I really appreciate it.

    Ponderosa Camper · 2026
  • This week has really changed my life, from becoming new to faith to really giving my life to Jesus.

    Ponderosa Camper · 2026
  • The biggest thing I learned this week at camp is that I can give all my troubles and worries to God. Even if I’m scared, even if I don’t want to, I can give it to him.

Joshua Scholarship

A Life-Changing Christian Discipleship Program That Changes Everything

The Joshua Wilderness Institute is Hume’s Discipleship gap year: Scripture, community and work on the grounds of Hume Lake, for young adults eighteen to twenty-four. A Joshua Scholarship helps students who cannot afford the year to pay for their tuition.

About the Joshua Scholarship
