FAQ
Wildwood is a transformative summer camp experience designed specifically for high school students seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord. Located within the back forests of Hume’s property, Wildwood provides a quiet and distraction-free environment, ideal for spiritual growth and room to breathe. With a strong discipleship focus, Wildwood invites students who are eager to be stretched in their faith and grow in their understanding of God’s Word. By setting aside technology for the week, campers are free to fully engage in creation, worship, fellowship, and study. The intimate, small camp environment fosters authentic relationships and allows for a highly personalized and intentional experience.
Wildwood is more than a summer camp; it’s a unique opportunity for high school students to step away from the distractions of everyday life and experience life-changing growth in their walk with the Lord.
IMPORTANT
Some older mapping services will suggest you take the 245. It is a curvy, winding road that will take you at least an additional hour. DO NOT take 245!
If you’d like to orient yourself to the camp before arriving, download this PDF of the Hume Lake campus map.
Bible, notebook, pencil, flashlight, sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, warm and cool clothes, jacket, modest one-piece swimsuit (no tankinis), a towel for swimming and showering. Wildwood has a small shop selling mostly Wildwood shirts and clothes. There will also be a trip into main camp where campers may browse the Apparel Store, Hume Supply Co., and the General Store.
If your child is bringing medication or supplements, please send them in their original containers. We are not able to give medication that we cannot identify and dose from the original container. Sending medication in anything other than the original container may result in the camper not receiving it.
Do NOT Bring:
Drugs (unless prescribed by a doctor), alcohol, tobacco, fireworks, firearms, electronic devices.
At Hume we care about providing the highest level of healthcare to our campers and staff. Check out this important info for everything you need to know about health and safety while at camp.
For each week of camp, check-in begins Sunday at 2:00 PM for churches and individuals.
After check-in, camp begins with a hike into Wildwood. You’ll be given specific information regarding the hike-in location at check-in.
Camp ends Saturday morning after breakfast.
IMPORTANT: Individual campers must be picked up by 9:00 AM.
