Overview

Youth ministry is both rewarding and tiring. This retreat is meant to encourage, equip, and unify those on the front lines of ministry. Come and enjoy the fellowship of Hume Lake staff and other like-minded youth workers of all walks of life! You will be challenged and inspired as we study God’s Word together and return home refreshed, better connected, and spiritually prepared for whatever God has in store for you!

Here at Hume, we absolutely love activities of all kinds. Scaling cliffs, jumping from trees, shooting stuff, driving wild roads, exploring mountains, and of course sport competition—the list is long and FUN.

Some older mapping services will suggest you take the 245. It is a curvy, winding road that will take you at least an additional hour. DO NOT take 245!

Check in starts at 3:00 PM the first day of the retreat.

You need to be checked out of your lodging by 11:00 AM the last day of the retreat.

We provide:

Dinner the first day of the retreat

All meals each full day of the retreat

Breakfast the last day of the retreat

We do not offer free guest WiFi at this point in time. We do offer Internet for a fee; however, the speeds here are not fast. Purchase at your own risk.

Yes! Bedding is provided so you will not need to bring your own. Feel free to bring your favorite cozy blanket and pillow if you’d like to, though!

At this time, we do not have an electric charging station at Hume or outlets available for charging vehicles. We encourage you to fully charge your electric vehicle before heading up the mountain.

Speaker

Cory is a husband and father whose greatest passion is sharing the good news of Jesus with the world. He also serves as the Executive Director of Onward, a leadership development and discipleship organization that helps train and develop young and emerging ministry leaders from all over the country.

Emily & Johnny Hamilton

Worship

Emily and Johnny live in Southern California and serve at Friends Church in Yorba Linda, CA. Emily is the Associate Worship Pastor at Friends. Our hearts are simple: We desire to live a life of worship throughout every circumstance. We want to live out the Gospel both on and off stage. We want to be a people who continuously choose joy. We don’t want to be wavered by the things of this world. We want to stand firm in who we are in Christ. We want to worship Jesus not for what He offers but for who He is.

For visitors and guests at Hume, no pets or animals are allowed in Hume housing or buildings. While Hume understands the benefit of service & support animals, our unique housing and locations are incompatible with service animals
