7:00—8:30 PM

Join us, summer Sunday through Thursday nights as a weekly guest speaker shares compelling biblical teaching seasoned with unique life experiences and personal stories. These free, informal evening sessions are held in the historic Memorial Chapel. Childcare and kids programs are available for a small fee.

Day Camp and affordable Huckleberry Child Care allow you to set your own agenda or pick and choose from our scheduled summer activities.

We do not offer lodging open to the public; however, if you are at Hume attending our free Teaching Series, we do offer the following Summer Lodging:

There is a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of the first night’s stay due upon making a reservation. The deposit will be forfeited if a reservation is canceled.

We do not offer free guest WiFi at this point in time. We do offer Internet for a fee; however, the speeds here are not fast. Purchase at your own risk.

Lodge rentals during Labor Day weekend may not include additional amenities such as the mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, or phone.

Matt  Kyser

Speaker

Matt is a follower of Jesus, husband of 27 years to Dina and father to Mandie, Ashlee, and Luke. Matt is the Lead Pastor of The Village Church in Irvine, CA. Matt is also the Founder of Restore Renewal Ministry, helping to renew pastors and revitalize the churches they lead. He is the Founder of The Restore Group, which helps churches re-imagine their real estate solutions to realize their God-given vision. Matt enjoys having fun with his family, being active outdoors, and encouraging others.

Ed Uszynski

Speaker

Ed is a Content Developer and Oneness Consultant for both Family Life and Athletes in Action, the marriage and sport ministries of Cru. He served many years as a teaching elder at their home church and frequently speaks to college students, men’s groups, and churches around the country. His writing includes contributions to DesiringGod and other online publications, besides a chapter in the four-volume, C.S. Lewis: Life, Works, and Legacy. He has an M.Div. and Ph.D. in American Culture Studies.

Dr. Erik Thoennes

Erik Thoennes is Professor and Chair of the Theology Department at Biola University and is a pastor at Grace EVFree, La Mirada. He was voted Professor of the Year twice, and was awarded the Faculty Excellence Award by his colleagues at Biola University. He is the author of “Life’s Biggest Questions: What the Bible Says About the Things that Matter Most,” and “Biblical and Theological Studies: A Student’s Guide,” Erik and his wife Donna have four children; Caroline, Paige, Samuel, and Isaac.

Bryndan Loritts

Speaker

Bryndan Crawford Loritts is the son of Dr. Crawford and Karen Loritts. He is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he received his master’s degree. He’s been a youth pastor, pastored two churches, and is currently the Teaching and Care Pastor at Shadow Hills Church in Las Vegas Nevada. Bryndan and his wife, Lucretia, have 3 daughters. His aim in life is to faithfully preach the word and serve the purposes of God in his moment in history (Acts 13:36)

Travis Osborne

Speaker

After sixteen years in youth ministry and seven years as a campus pastor at a Christian university, Travis is now the Lead Pastor at Valley Christian Family, a growing church in Redding, California. He loves learning God’s Word and articulating the gospel message to all ages. He commutes all over town on his 1982 Schwinn bicycle and recently lost his status as an amateur athlete after winning a few bucks in a grass volleyball tournament.

Jeremy Treat

Speaker

Jeremy Treat (PhD, Wheaton College) is Pastor for Preaching and Vision at Reality LA in Los Angeles, California and Adjunct Professor of Theology at Biola University. He is the author of Seek First: How the Kingdom of God Changes Everything and The Crucified King: Atonement and Kingdom in Biblical and Systematic Theology. He and his wife, Tiffany, have four daughters and live in Los Angeles.

Alan Frow

Speaker

Alan Frow is the lead pastor of Southlands Church in Southern California where he and his wife, Rynelle, have lived for the last 14 years with their three children after moving from South Africa. Southlands has grown and planted 5 churches in the past twelve years under Alan’s leadership. He has written books entitled “Broken for Blessing” and “Psalms for a Saturated Soul”. Alan and his wife travel extensively training pastors and leaders to cultivate healthy teams, churches, and souls.

PJ Lewis

Speaker

Married in 1988, PJ and and his wife Sheri have been serving together for over 30 years in the areas of shepherding, teaching, counseling, and discipleship for both youth and adult ministries. Living in Fresno, he is currently the Lead Pastor of the Well Kingsburg. PJ enjoys superhero movies, playing games, hiking, exploring new places, and especially loves spending time with his wife.

Chris Lankford

Speaker

Chris Lankford has served as Lead Pastor at Long Beach Alliance since 2004. He is passionate about the church being a family with a discipleship heart. Chris loves to study, and has degrees from both Biola & Talbot. Chris is married to Melinda (27 years), and they have two awesome adult daughters, Jessalyn (22), and Makayla (18). The Lankford’s are fanatical Dodgers fans, and despite being a semi-grown adult – Chris still spends many hours a week collecting and sorting his baseball cards.

Darin McWatters

Speaker

Darin is the Senior Pastor of EvFree Fullerton. He is passionate about preaching God’s word, shepherding His people, and embracing faith, knowledge, and hard work in his personal life. He loves identifying timeless ways to lead in the context of a neighborhood church. He and his wife Shannon have been married for 22 years, and have four children, Jack, Hank, Lily, and Will. Darin took Karate in 6th grade, and thinks it’s highly probable that he can still chop a 1×4 in half with his hand.
