Each of our three camp locations has slightly different starting and ending dates, especially if you serve in a leadership role.
Apply anyway! We may be able to find you a spot for a partial summer commitment.
Fantastic! Let us know when you apply. We usually have staff needs post-summer.
Living in community with like-minded college-aged roommates is one of the best parts of the Hume Summer Staff experience. All summer staff are housed in shared dormitory-style housing with same genders. Counseling positions require staff members to reside in cabins with campers when they are counseling.

- Provide us with three references
References are super important for us to help determine your next best step with Hume. References not only help us determine the best fit for you at Hume, but they also provide us valuable insights about you so we can care for you well while you’re with us.
When selecting the best references for Hume employment, it’s important to choose individuals who can speak to your skills, work ethic, and Christian character. The better someone indicates they know you, the more helpful the reference for us.
What if you think you don’t have any references? Think again! Take a look at our list of possibilities below.
Here are some of the best types of references we want to hear from most!

And sorry, we don’t accept references from any type of family member (because of course they think you’re awesome and perfect in every way!)
Oh and pro-tip, its always a good idea to ask your references first if they would be a reference before you give us their contact information – no surprises.
So go pick some winners who will give us an accurate, honest appraisal of who you are so we can get on with our decision about your next best step with Hume!
