Women's Retreats

Recharge. Rejoice. Renew.

Overview

The Women’s Retreat provides a weekend with new and old friends sharing times of fellowship, reflection, and laughter. We stop at nothing to provide solid Biblical teaching, fabulous food, a variety of recreational activities, craft sessions and inspiring worship.

We provide:

All meals each full day of the retreat

Breakfast and lunch the last day of the retreat

We do not offer free guest WiFi at this point in time. We do offer Internet for a fee; however, the speeds here are not fast. Purchase at your own risk.

Meredith Knox

Speaker

Meredith has a passion to see people walk in an authentic and powerful relationship with Jesus Christ. Growing up experiencing the dangers of cold religion, she feels an urgency to invite people out of cultural Christianity and into the Biblical reality of God’s Kingdom (believing that can only be done with the Holy Spirit’s help and a good bit of humor).Meredith served in student ministry for 11 years. Today, she serves at NewSpring Church.

Dominic Nuncio

Music/Worship

Dominic is a worship pastor, teacher, and songwriter from San Diego, Ca. He has served in the local church as both worship leader and teaching pastor for over 20 years. He has also dedicated more than a decade to leading worship for camp ministries, conferences, and a myriad of churches. He is passionate about presenting a high view of God and communicating the Gospel in song, word, and deed. He and his wife, Tara, currently reside in Chula Vista, CA with their 2 children.

Donna Thoennes

Speaker

Dr. Donna Thoennes formerly served on faculty at Biola University for 12 years in the Torrey Honors Institute and currently serves as an adjunct professor. She loves being married to Erik who teaches theology at Biola and serves on the pastoral staff at Grace Evangelical Free Church. Erik and Donna have four children, ages 16-22, who were adopted from Taiwan and China. She spends her days teaching at church, Biola, and home and helping her precious ones “taste and see that the Lord is good.”

Caity Jean

Music/Worship

As a worship leader, Caity Jean Ardavanis’ heart is that the students would understand the truth that they are singing. She is passionate about communicating the gospel through song, word, and deed. She is eager to use God’s Word to share that we do not worship God solely through songs and melodies, but by offering our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to Him. This is our true and proper worship (Rom.12:1). Leading worship alongside students is one of her greatest joys.

Courtney Doctor

Speaker

Courtney Doctor is an author, teacher, and speaker. She received an MDiv from Covenant Theological Seminary and is the author of From Garden to Glory; Steadfast: A Bible Study on the Book of James; and In View of God’s Mercies: The Gift of the Gospel in Romans. She currently serves as the Coordinator of Women’s Initiatives for The Gospel Coalition. Her greatest desire in all of this is to be able to faithfully study, apply, and teach the word of God and help others to do the same.
