Meet The Staff
Dallas DeWitt
Director
Dallas grew up as a missionary kid in Peru and had stints in Florida, Alaska, and Virginia along the way. He and his wife Julie met at Hume as summer staffers in 2006 and moved to Hume Lake full-time in 2015. For seven years Dallas worked as the Meadow Ranch camp director at Hume as well as a Winter Camp and the Hume International Camps director. He has a passion for missionary kids/TCK’s and seeing young adults grow in their understanding of who God is and what it means to live a life worthy of the Gospel.
Jen Smith
Associate Director
Jen is a Southern California native passionate about discipleship, purposeful, Christ-centered conversation and good dance parties. She spent several years working in youth ministry before completing her Bachelor’s degree at Biola University. Following graduation, she had the privilege of working at Biola with international, third-culture and missionary kids while working on her Master’s degree. Jen transitioned to Hume Lake in February of 2022 and is most excited about seeing God work powerfully in the lives of students through the Joshua Wilderness Institute.
