Hume San Diego

Our Epic Beach Camp

Summer 2019

Why choose Hume San Diego?

Clear Gospel Message

The gospel isn’t merely one ingredient in our programming mix. It’s the reason for everything we do.

Creative Theme

The theme is a practical link between the entertaining aspects of camp and our presentation of the Gospel. We leverage it as a background to Biblical truth.

The high-energy, innovative games at Hume Lake give campers an outlet for their energy and counselors a chance to encourage team-building.

San Diego has many thriving mission organizations whom we partner with to provide safe, supervised opportunities to serve people in tangible ways.

Hume Lake has an arsenal of activities for you and your students. Each afternoon during free time we PLAY.

Local Ministry

We believe youth pastors know their youth groups best. In light of that, we run camp in order to give youth pastors the freedom to focus on their students.

Dynamic Worship

Indoor worship, outdoor worship, corporate worship, devotional worship. Hume nurtures the attitude of worship from sunrise to sunset.

Amazing Location

There's nothing quite like the crash of breaking waves, sunset on the Pacific and the smell of ocean air. God makes cool stuff.

Hume SD is a seamless blend of Hume Lake and San Diego. Urban missions and beachfront activities take full advantage of the location while powerful corporate worship, compelling teaching and full throttle recreation provide a true camp experience for Jr. High (grades 6-8) and High School (grades 9-12) students. Enjoy the San Diego beach culture while building relationships!

Hume San Diego is held at Point Loma Nazarene College in San Diego, California.

2019 Summer Theme

What does it mean to follow christ?

This summer we want students to understand that Christ followers. . .follow Christ. Although many people in our culture have identified as a “Christian”, there is often a misunderstanding of how Jesus defines following. Even the earliest followers of Christ wrestled with the same questions we face today: “How do we follow a God we cannot see?” We will see how Jesus himself answers this question, and enables us to follow Him through His Spirit and the Church.

Galatians 2:20 (Theme verse)

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
