2018 Spring Firefighters Retreat

Responding to the call

April 6-8, 2018

Come up to the mountains for a weekend of camaraderie with fellow firefighters. You can expect the best Hume has to offer from strong biblical teaching, spirited worship, great food, and exciting activities. This retreat will restore you and prepare you for the next battle. Your spouse, if applicable, is welcome and encouraged to attend this retreat with you.

FIREFIGHTERS FOR CHRIST INTERNATIONAL WEEKEND You may also want to come two days early for the Firefighters For Christ International Weekend held in conjunction with the Hume Lake Firefighters Retreat.

Speaker & Music

Philip Scott

Philip is from Northern Ireland and has been a full time firefighter for 25 years. He has been involved in the local ministry of Firefighters For Christ for 20 years whilst also travelling overseas participating in FFC mission. He is a member of Dromore Elim Church where he was a teaching elder for six years before fully committing to more itinerant ministry. Philip is passionate about teaching clearly from the Bible and challenging his listeners to fulfil God’s desire and plans for their lives.

Faith First

Faith First began as a quartet in 1994 while enrolled at Pacific Union College (PUC) in Northern California. They have recorded 4 CDs and a DVD, with their most recent CD featuring original songs from the group. With Andrea, Marc, Scott and Shani each having growing families of their own, recent years have seen less travel and more time invested in their local churches and families. They love ongoing opportunities to connect with those who have come to know and love them.

Some older mapping services will suggest you take the 245. It is a curvy, winding road that will take you at least an additional hour. DO NOT take 245!

Check in starts at 3:00 PM the first day of the retreat.

You need to be checked out of your lodging by 11:00 AM the last day of the retreat.

We provide:

Dinner the first day of the retreat

All meals each full day of the retreat

Breakfast and lunch the last day of the retreat

We do not offer free guest WiFi at this point in time. We do offer Internet for a fee; however, the speeds here are not fast. Purchase at your own risk.

If you are attending the retreat, we give you the opportunity to sign up for the following year at the retreat. We then open up registration for everyone else soon after the retreat is over (usually a week from the end of the retreat).

Here at Hume, we absolutely love activities of all kinds. Scaling cliffs, jumping from trees, shooting stuff, driving wild roads, exploring mountains, and of course sport competition—the list is long and FUN.
